The Wetlands International<\/a> project aims at building institutional capacity for planning and management at the local, national and regional levels, focusing on poverty reduction and on biodiversity conservation in the Hindu Kush – Karakorum – Himalaya region. The activities are initially focused in three national parks: Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal; Central Karakoram National Park in Pakistan; and Qomolangma Nature Reserve in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.<\/p>\n
