Bush also outlined what he perceives as the right way to craft domestic legislation to deal with global warming, agencies reported,<\/p>\n

putting special emphasis on developing a new generation of nuclear reactors and technologies to capture and sequester carbon dioxide from burning coal.<\/p>\n

But responses from environmentalists were frosty at best. "This goal bears no relationship to what science says is needed," Carl Pope,
\ndirector of US green group the Sierra Club, said on his blog, "which is a 20-25% reduction, measured against 1990 emissions levels, by 2025."<\/p>\n
