The government plans to plant sugar cane on 18,000 hectares to produce ethanol, the report said. The project will produce 213 million litres of ethanol a year.<\/p>\n

Mozambique is one of many countries hit hard by rising fuel prices. Six people died during riots in the capital, Maputo, earlier this year.<\/p>\n
