Farid Tukhbatullin is co-founder of the NGO Dashoguz Ecological Club, dealing with environmental problems in Turkmenistan and the Aral Sea. He has participated in international conferences, seminars and training, including under the auspices of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea. He is a member of the International Socio-Ecological Union and head of the NGO Turkmen Initiative for Human Rights, registered and operating out of Vienna, Austria since 2003.
