Carmen Valeria Escobar is a freelance print journalist based in El Salvador. Her work primarily focuses on gender, reproductive rights. She is frequent contributor to El Faro, where she worked in covering the Legislative Assembly in a project called Poderes (Powers). Her work has also appeared in Revista Factum, Cosecha Roja, Vice en Español and Distintas Latitudes.
