Dr. Uprety has over 20 years of experience in climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction and early warning systems and currently serves as the thematic lead for climate and resilience at Practical Action South Asia in Kathmandu. He holds a Ph.D. in environmental sciences from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna, Austria and a post-doctorate from the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, Czech Republic. Since COP-26, he has been an official delegate from the Government of Nepal.
