Maickson Serrão is a Tupinambá journalist and digital content creator concentrating on culture, climate and the Amazon region. He was born in Boim, in the Tapajós-Arapiuns Extractive Reserve, northern Brazil. He holds a master’s in human sciences and is pursuing a PhD in social anthropology. He also created the Pavulagem podcast, which recovers stories of the enchanted beings of the Amazon through the voices of riverside people and Indigenous communities. With two seasons, it has become the most popular podcast in northern Brazil. His journalism has appeared in Agência Pública and Sumaúma Jornalismo.
