Founded in 1949, COFCO (China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs) is China's largest state-owned food processing holding company. As well as food processing, COFCO operates as a manufacturer and trader of diversified products and services in the agricultural production and food industry, and has overseas operations in the US, UK, Japan, Australia and Canada. It is positioning itself to be the leader of a sustainable palm oil movement in China, having set itself a target of attaining 100% certified sustainable palm oil by 2025.
