Video: Abandoned Tibetan Mastiffs

This documentary reveals the hardships faced by stray dogs on the Tibetan plateau, where urbanization uncontrolled breeding of mastiffs have resulted in a surge of dogs, posing a growing threat to local people and the environment.

This film is directed by Dodrup Dorjee and produced by Yin Hang from the Gangri Neichog Research and Conservation Centre.

Gangri Neichog, (“sacred land of snow” in Tibetan), is a grassroots organisation based in Qinghai province that focuses on conservation in Western China. Gangri Neichog adheres to the principles of respecting life and promoting sustainability by sharing the welfare brought by nature. They have worked to find a better solution to the problem of stray dogs since 2014.
