On May 13, the first China Environmental News Awards and symposium focused on the question of "where Chinese environmental news will head to in the next ten years", and the secretary-general of Friends of Nature Li Bo brought up the problem of the use of news sources. The deputy head of China Features Xiong Lei, the editor-in-chief of CESP Liu Youbin and the environmental reporter for the Guangming Daily Ping Yongfeng talked about their experiences, analysing the nature and origins of the problem.
This symposium was directed by Liu Jianqiang, deputy editor of China Dialogue in Beijing.
