The world’s driest inhabited continent, which is already suffering one of its worst droughts, is waging its own unique climate war, says the yearly climate report of Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology.
With half the country desperate for water, the other half was awash with the equivalent of a year’s rainfall for the entire continent. "Most scientists agree this is part of an enhanced greenhouse effect," said bureau senior climatologist Neil Plummer.
