Competitors in the "Grease to Greece" race had to beg for used cooking oil from restaurant owners along the way

British couple Coleen and Mario Chadwick drove to Athens in an unconverted Range Rover that burned used cooking oil filtered through a kitchen sieve, the report said. They plan to keep driving on cooking oil after they return to the United Kingdom.

The race’s creator, Andy Pag, plans for his next adventure to fly around the world using recycled bags for fuel.
